2008 Silver BMW 335i Track Car - $22,000

This e92 is a very well developed track car with low total mileage. The car is all stock format with many performance modifications. The air conditioning and sunroof have been deleted, but otherwise the car is complete. All other comfort functions still work: windows and locks, heat and defrost, lights and wipers, stereo, airbags, etc. The rear seats were removed, and an Autopower bolt in roll cage installed. Sparco racing seats and Schroth 6 point harnesses on custom mounts do not have sliders, so shorter drivers may need to add these. I also have a set of black seats from an M235i, and either set could come with the car, or both, or neither, for the right deal. It comes with two sets of lightweight track 17" wheels: one set with Toyo Proxes RR slicks with lots of life left, and one set of Hoosier rains that were spanking new until I scrubbed them in at ORP at our last, wet event this year - these tires are amazing in the wet if you haven't tried them.

The front bumper skin has been replaced and was installed unpainted, because track car. I see no damage behind the skin and the headlights are fine; the PO installed it himself out of the box after adding the steel mesh.

I bought the car with cylinder damage, and I swapped in a used 85k mile N54. During the engine swap, we refreshed all of the consumable parts including: water pump and thermostat, belt drive system, spark plugs and new OEM valve cover, charge tube, engine and trans mounts, all accessible gaskets and seals, and BMW V12 injectors. Every fluid and filter was serviced with top of the line synthetics. The body was steam cleaned with the engine and transmission out. This service has a value well into five figures.

With MHD Tune, the car make 402 wheel hp and comes with dyno sheet. I can personally attest that it pulls like a train and makes all the right turbo noises.

The PO spent like a drunken sailor on this car. I have receipts for well over $50k showing diligent maintenance and constant upgrades.

Okay, I know, what's with the auto trans in a track car? That's what the car came with, and the previous owner just didn't care to do the swap. (Or it didn't come up in the queue before he sold it.) I'm not really sure, but he said he liked it. It shifts sooo smoothly, every single time, and it won't let you do anything stupid. That said, if you want the manual gearbox, we can make that happen. If you're serious about buying the car, I'm happy to have a conversation about it and I'm already collecting parts to do the swap. To be clear, the conversion cost would be on top of the asking price. I'm a longtime BMW technician and shop owner and lifelong track junkie. I own other BMW track cars and know our local tracks and clubs very well.

Cash preferred, but some German vehicles do appeal. I'm not going to come off the price much, if at all, so please don't waste our time with lowball offers. There is a huge amount of value in this car, more than the asking price in parts alone. I'm in no hurry to sell - I just have too many cars and motorbikes.

If you are interested in getting into track days in a serious sports car, this is a great entry opportunity. There is more than double the asking price in parts here alone, never mind the time and energy it takes to put it all together. I have been building and driving race and track cars for many years, and am happy to help get you started going to track events if you want some guidance.

This car has not been plated in some time and I cannot promise it will pass Oregon DEQ - but it could, and might. It still looks like a stock car and with the exhaust cutouts closed it isn't loud. Point being, it could be driven to the track if you don't have a tow rig.
